Camille Bilodeau

Camille is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Virginia. She is interested in exploring the intersection between molecular simulations, statistical physics, and artificial intelligence to develop tools to discover and design of new molecules, surfaces, and proteins with optimized properties. Outside of work, Camille enjoys hiking in the mountains, cooking (and eating!) new foods, and playing board games.

Daniel Garzon

Daniel is a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. student from the National University of Colombia - Medellin campus. He is from Barranquilla-Colombia. He is interested in applying molecular simulation and machine learning to explore molecules, peptides, and protein properties. For fun, he likes photography, traveling, sports, and hiking. He also enjoys drinking wine or beer and eating international food with his friends.

Md Jakir Hossen

Jakir is a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. student from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. His current focus involves using deep learning techniques to comprehend the behavior of biomolecules, including peptide properties and protein aggregation. He seeks to advance biomolecules, and drug development. Beyond the lab, he finds joy in traveling, playing games like cricket, soccer, badminton, and bringing happiness to his parents.

Adel Nematipour

Adel is a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. student at the University of Virginia. He earned his master's degree from the University of Tehran in 2021. He is interested in exploring pattern formation on functionalized surfaces using machine learning and molecular simulation. In his leisure time, he listens to music a lot, enjoys watching or playing soccer, hangs out with friends, and sometimes goes hiking.

Omid Akbari

Omid is a 3rd year undergraduate Chemical Engineering student at the University of Virginia. He is currently working with the Bilodeau research group to study how peptide representation impacts property prediction. In his free time, he enjoys tennis and piano.

Shimanto Roy

Shimanto joined UVA in 2023 as a Chemical Engineering Ph.D student. He completed his bachelors from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). He is interested in  using molecular dynamics and machine learning to predict supramolecularity in designing synthetic peptides. He enjoys cooking in free time. He loves to watch kDramas  and Marvel films and to hang out with friends and trying new foods and places .

Benson Harlan

Benson is a 3rd year undergraduate Chemical Engineering student at the University of Virginia. He is currently working with the Bilodeau research group to help predict the behavior of peptides using machine learning. In his free time, he enjoys painting, playing piano, hiking, video games, as well as keeping up to date on the best movies.

Masa Murry

Masa is an undergraduate Chemical Engineering student at the University of Virginia. She works with the Bilodeau research group to help develop machine learning classification models for predicting antimicrobial activity for peptides. Outside the lab, she likes bouldering and weightlifting at the gym. She also enjoys playing beach volleyball and reading.

Vanessa Campbell

Vanessa is a transfer undergraduate Chemical Engineering student at the University of Virginia. She is working on developing machine learning models to predict molecular properties. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys running, mountain biking, and drinking copious amounts of caffeine.
